The 2012 Olympics is a unique opportunity to investigate curriculum subjects in action – the transformation of a derelict river valley, urban regeneration on a grand scale, the potential for a sustainable Olympics. It’s all here in east London, to be seen and explored. It’s the sort of fieldwork that excites students and can be turned into a great learning experience as part of a school trip to London.
The two hour sessions with views across the Olympic Park are designed to complement the Curriculum and are led by staff from Field Studies Council. Subjects and Levels are indicative as courses can be adapted to suit the needs of your group. from April 2014, there will be direct access into Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
Primary sessions cost £210 for classes of up to 30 pupils. Discounts are available for schools within the Go! (E20 Network) of schools within Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest.
More than 30 students? We can arrange sessions for larger groups. Contact us for details.
FSC London also offer one day urban geography programmes at sites across London.
